About Us
Our Love for Travelling and How We Travel
We are Jan & Žaneta, a couple who loves exploring and enjoying tons of experiences.
We love travelling! We are not full-time travellers or van lifers. And we don’t necessarily travel on a budget. We have full-time jobs and travel in our spare time. But we travel as much as we can.
Travelling doesn’t mean you need to pay for expensive packages to get the most out of your holiday. Travelling also doesn’t mean you do it so you can get tanned and chilled next to a pool. Our planet is too unique to waste our precious time doing that.
When it comes to travelling, our primary goal is to see as much as we can. You will certainly not see us in an all-inclusive resort next to the pool with one too many drinks right after breakfast. We’re happy to pay a reasonable price for our adventures if the money is well-invested and becomes breathtaking experiences and memories. However, that doesn’t mean we overlook good deals and reasonably priced destinations. There must be a balance.
Tons of Experience
Our motto is: ‘We can sleep at home’. So when we travel, we hit the road pretty early with a packed lunch and get back home just in time for dinner. We love all kinds of adventures – exploring bustling cities and tiny cute villages, hiking in majestic mountains, watching wildlife, doing outdoor activities or searching for the most amazing seashells on beaches. We also treat ourselves from time to time. And so we end up booking a bit of a high(ish) end experience to enjoy ourselves. Right after some pamper weekend, you can see us banging our heads at a metal festival and, later, staying in an off-grid space, cooking delicious food on fire, reading books and practising yoga in the forest. That’s us. We genuinely love to try tons of experiences.
The way we travel is something we would love to show you in this blog, hoping to inspire you to explore our planet in a similar way.
Why Blueprints of Britain?
Did you know that the United Kingdom is much more than just London?
Well, we live in Britain and know that people don’t consider the United Kingdom the most exciting travel destination.
Regarding Great Britain, people always have one place on their ‘must to visit places’ list. Yes, it’s London. They go to London thinking they saw and experienced the real Britain. Well, they didn’t. The truth is that the rest of Britain won’t make it on people’s bucket list, and we would like to change that.
The real gem lies outside the capital. And that’s what we want to show you. But it’s not just about foreigners visiting this country; many locals go abroad for their holidays, leaving their homeland completely unexplored, not knowing what it can truly offer. And what a shame this is. Extensive historical heritage, fantastic outdoor opportunities and exciting culture. London is already covered in many other blogs, so we will leave Britain’s capital out of our blog. Instead, we will show you the beauty of the rest of the country, creating an ultimate blueprint for your British travels.
